Collecting Minted Coins
|
Minted coins are part of a collection of coins that have different mint markings, these markings are used to tell the difference between separate representations in their collection. These markings tell you also how many coins are going to be in the collection and then the following year another coin will be released or maybe more than one will be released with the year. There are some mint markings that are very, very rare and hard to get your hands on.
Minted coins are coins that are produced the government as a collector of coins. For example, a minted United States coin may have a picture of the American flag on it as well as the year that the coin came out. There are other countries around the world that do the same. Countries such as Afghanistan, Peru ,Brazil, Argentina, Hong Kong, Estonia and the United kingdom to name a few. Each country has its’ own picture and its own packaging on it.
Like with any type of hobby you have to know then the other coins are going to come out and then how you can get a hold of one of them for your collection. Some mint releases only release a certain amount so you have to be on the ball and keep up with he release dates with the corresponding coins.
